Terms of Service
Last updated October 22, 2026
Please read these carefully. In short: we provide betting information, not betting advice. We cannot promise you will win, you must be 21 or older, and paid alerts are for you only.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Closing Line (“we”, “us”), which operates Closing Line, including this website, our Discord server and our Discord bot (together, the “Service”). By joining our server, adding or using the bot, or buying a plan, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 21 years old, and old enough to legally enter into a contract where you live. You are responsible for knowing whether online sports betting is legal where you are, and for following those laws. You must also follow the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. We may ask you to confirm your age and may remove anyone we believe is under 21.
3. What the Service is, and what it is not
Closing Line is an information and analytics service. We compare odds published by third-party sportsbooks and tell you when a price looks better than our estimate of the fair price, or when an arbitrage opportunity appears.
- We are not a sportsbook. We do not accept, place, hold or settle bets, and we never handle your betting funds.
- Nothing in the Service is financial, investment, legal or betting advice, and nothing is a recommendation to place any particular bet.
- We do not guarantee any profit, win rate or outcome. A bet with a positive expected value can and often does lose. Results shown in our channels are historical and do not predict future results.
- Our “fair odds” are estimates produced by a model from market prices. They can be wrong.
4. The Discord bot
The bot posts alerts, answers slash commands (such as /odds, /plans, /record, /ev and /arb) and manages the server's channels and roles. To do this it asks Discord for permissions such as managing roles, channels and messages. It does not read the content of your messages. See the Privacy Policy for what it stores. The bot's output depends on third-party data and can be late, incomplete or wrong, and the bot may be offline from time to time.
5. Plans, billing and access
We offer these paid plans. Prices are in US dollars and may change for new purchases:
- Rookie: $19 / month
- Pro: $49 / month
- All-Star: $99 / month
- MVP: $199 / month
- Hall of Fame: $1,899 / year
- 5YR: $9,999 one payment · 5 years
- Monthly plans renew automatically each month until you cancel. Cancel through your payment provider before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Access continues until the end of the period you paid for.
- Hall of Fame is a single payment for 12 months of access and ends at the end of that period unless you buy again.
- 5YR is a single payment for five years (60 months) of access from the date of purchase. It does not renew. Any “price lock” described on the plan applies only to the price of buying again.
- Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not see or store your full card details. Your Discord role is granted when payment succeeds and removed when access ends or a payment fails.
- Each plan includes the leagues, edge sizes, alert speed and features listed on the website at the time you buy. We may improve or adjust the Service, add or retire leagues, and change what future plans include. Feeds can be paused during off-seasons, data outages or maintenance.
6. Refunds and chargebacks
All payments are final and non-refundable, including for monthly periods already started, unused time, and the Hall of Fame and 5YR plans, except only where the law requires otherwise. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us first and we will try to fix it. If you file a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us, we may remove your access and ban you from the server while it is resolved.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- share, forward, copy, repost, sell or leak paid alerts, feeds or channels, or give your access to someone else (one plan is for one person);
- scrape, resell, or build a competing product from the Service or its data;
- harass other members, spam, scam, promote tout services or paid “picks”, or post unlawful, hateful or explicit content;
- try to break, overload, probe or bypass the bot, the server's permissions or any plan limit; or
- use the Service to break any law or any sportsbook's terms.
Sportsbooks may limit or close accounts that bet profitably or use arbitrage. That risk is yours.
8. Data, delays and third parties
Odds, scores and other data come from third-party providers and sportsbooks. Prices change within seconds. An alert may already be out of date when you read it, particularly on plans with an alert delay. Always check that a price is still available before you bet. We do not control and are not responsible for any sportsbook, its odds, its limits, or how it treats your account.
9. Gambling risk and your responsibility
Betting involves a real risk of loss. You alone decide whether and how much to bet, and you are responsible for any losses. Only bet money you can afford to lose. If gambling is causing problems for you or someone you know, call 1-800-GAMBLER or visit your state's problem gambling resources.
10. Ownership
The Service, including the bot, website, branding and the content and analysis we publish, belongs to Closing Line or its licensors. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for your own non-commercial use while you have access. You keep ownership of what you post, and you give us permission to display it within the Service.
11. Ending access
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access immediately, without refund, if you break these Terms, share paid content, abuse other members, dispute a charge without first contacting us, or if we are required to by law or by Discord. We may also change or end the Service. If we end the Service entirely, we will tell you how any paid time you have left will be handled.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that alerts will be timely, error-free or profitable, or that the Service will be uninterrupted.
13. Limit on our liability
We are not responsible for any losses you suffer from betting or from relying on the Service. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost bets, losses from betting, lost data or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose (or, for the Hall of Fame and 5YR plans, the amount you paid for the plan if that is less). Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
14. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Nevada, and you agree to their jurisdiction, except that either of us may seek urgent relief in any court that has authority. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here and change the date above, and for material changes we will also announce it in the Discord server. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
